Why we started

Course requirements shouldn't be this hard to read

Every school explains graduation coursework in its own words, and families often find themselves piecing together requirements from scattered handbooks and conflicting advice. Graduation Courses began as a way to untangle that. We write practical guides on course choices and the planning decisions that lead toward graduation, so students have a clear starting point before they sit down with a counselor.

We focus only on what is tied directly to graduating: which courses carry credit, how prerequisites chain together, and what to check before committing to a schedule. Broader study tips and general education news are outside our scope.

How we work

Three principles behind every guide

01

Stay neutral

We explain how requirements typically work and never claim to speak for any specific school's policy. Where details vary, we say so.

02

Clarify prerequisites

Each guide maps out what comes before what, so you can see the sequence of courses that leads toward graduation.

03

Align with counselors

Our articles finish with questions worth bringing to your school counselor, so our guidance supplements official advice rather than replacing it.
